The movie 300 is awesome! I know a lot of people hate it. They say that it is full of gore and is way over done. I love it…All of it. I like to jump to the battle scenes… I am getting excited thinking about it!
So where am I going with this? Check out the pictures. Yes… they are from 300. This is how I have been relating to the pictures for the past few weeks.

In Esphesians, Paul talks about the Armor of God [Esphesians 6:11-17]. While Paul was in prison, he seen this armor that the soldiers wore and related it to the armor that God had provided for us.
So, if we put on this Armor of God, then we too are soldiers… soldiers for Jesus. Okay I am getting excited! I always wanted to be a soldier. Getting behind enemy lines and kicking some butt!!
I have only been walking behind the Lord for about 3 1/2 years. It has been a journey. I always get in the way and that is a tough learning process. One of the things that I have learned is that there is most definitely evil spiritual forces. Evil forces that love to attack…
Sometimes these attacks are very stealth. It is like the enemy sends in his “evil seals” and they sabotage the good work that is trying to be done. Then there are those attacks that we see in advance. Maybe we know that God has put something into our heart and He wants us to carry out His mission. However, the enemy does not want this mission to be carried out, so he will have his “evil archers” attack. This is what I see in the photo up above. I see soldiers for Jesus… an army… all moving in one direction… ready for battle… and then they see a sky full of arrows heading towards them. They are under attack.

The soldiers take cover under their shield… There are so many arrows that they literally cover every inch on the floor. The enemy attack was unsuccessful. The soldiers were well equipped for the attack. I love this picture of the soldiers taking cover and then one of the leaders is standing up in front… Ready for more…

Over the past three years, I have noticed a pattern of the enemy. I have sniffed out one of his strategies… I am sure that he has this strategy against all followers. Every time I make a new promise to God… Every time I take a leap of faith… Every time God puts something in my heart… Every time I feel like God has something planned for me… the enemy attacks me. The enemy attacks like a huge ball of fire. I don’t always put up my shield for protection and I get burned alive. I end up listening to the enemies lies… his words that place doubt deep into my heart. his words place fear… he speaks of my past failures and laughs. ”You are not good enough. You are stained by your sins!”
In response to his scheme…I raise my shield and attack with my sword…

Romans 8:1-2 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you [me] through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death.
Hebrews 1:3 The Son reflects God’s own glory, and everything about him represents God exactly. He sustains the universe by the mighty power of his command. After he died to cleanse us [me] from the stain of sin, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God of heaven.
